ABOUT US
MEET KATIE, LCSW, QS (She/Her)
Katie Stafford is a licensed mental health clinician, speaker, and advocate who is passionate about helping people step into healing, wholeness, and freedom. Her work centers on guiding individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, codependency, and self-worth to discover the strength and peace that already exists within them.
“I believe therapy isn’t just about managing symptoms, it’s about rewriting your story, reclaiming your identity, and learning how to thrive in mind, body, and spirit”
In my practice, I take a holistic approach that blends evidence-based therapy with faith-informed counseling. For clients who desire it, I integrate Christian principles into the work we do together, helping them reconnect with God while also addressing thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns that keep them feeling stuck. My style is warm and authentic—I bring both depth and a sense of humor to the room; an active partner in your healing, challenging you when needed while celebrating your progress along the way. Therapy with me feels like both a safe haven and a real conversation where they can laugh, cry, and grow.
I am deeply committed to community service and advocacy. As a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I carry forward the values of sisterhood, scholarship, and service in all I do. Whether it’s leading workshops, facilitating groups, or speaking at community events, I believe in creating spaces where people can access tools for growth, break through stigma around mental health, and reconnect with their God-given worth.
I also create programs and resources that extend beyond individual counseling, such as workshops on self-esteem, faith-based healing, and value-based living. My series Taboo Tea challenges the stigma around mental health and invites honest conversations that blend psychology, faith, and cultural truth-telling.
“I want people to know they are not broken, but becoming”
Healing doesn’t mean changing who you are, it means embracing every part of you and learning to live with freedom, clarity, and confidence.
If you’re seeking a therapist, a speaker, or a collaborator who can bring both professionalism and authenticity to the table, I’d love to connect with you. Together, we can continue the work of healing minds, uplifting spirits, and building stronger communities.
