Meet Katie

Meet Katie

You don't have to have it all together to get started.

If you're the one everyone else leans on — the strong friend, the overachiever, the one who always shows up — and you're quietly running on empty, you're in the right place.

I'm Katie Stafford, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I specialize in anxiety, depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and codependent patterns — the stuff that's hard to talk about because from the outside, everything looks fine.

My approach is integrative and personal. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy, I meet you where you are — not where I think you should be. And because I believe mental and spiritual health are deeply connected, faith is woven into the work for those who want it.

Therapy here isn't about fixing you. You're not broken. It's about helping you reconnect with who you actually are beneath all the performing, proving, and people-pleasing, and building a life that finally feels like yours.

Licensed in FL, IN, OH, and IL. Telehealth available.

TESTIMONIALS

Client Experiences

Look at how Stafford Counseling and Consulting, LLC has positively impacted the lives of our clients through their testimonials.

David, Client

Therapy made me feel more human in a way. Like my worries and fears were all about something I couldn't control once I recognized what I could
control it made it easier not to worry.

Sara, Client

I have learned that I am not in control of how people will respond to me in certain situations. I have learned to address my feelings head on and
not suppress them. I am learning to build self love towards myself and not wait for someone else to love me to feel good. I am learning to set boundaries, even if it is with a parent, close friend or family member. I am learning to worry more about my feelings and put myself first rather than putting someone else's feelings before mine so they can feel better.

Alex, Client

I learned that I cannot control everything and I need to just allow things to be. I have learned to create boundaries for myself with my family, which is
something that I never had. Also boundaries with everyone in general.
